Qui trovate l’annuncio, ora davvero ufficiale, dell’uscita in Blu-Ray non solo della prima serie, ma anche dei primi sei film di Star Trek. Star Trek: The Original Series – Season One uscirà in USA il 28 aprile, mentre i film vedranno la luce il 12 maggio così suddivisi:

Star Trek Original Motion Picture Collection conterrà 14 ore di extra, tra cui 2 ore e mezza di contenuti speciali nuovi e le restanti di materiale già visto nei DVD. Il set incuderà anche Star Trek: The Captains’ Summit, una tavola rotonda di 70 minuti in cui Whoopi Goldberg fa da mediatore tra William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, Patrick Stewart e Jonathan Frakes, che discutono della lor esperienza sul set. Per quanto riguarda la prima serie, per rispondere ai commenti di un nostro precedente post, si tratta essenzialmente della versione Blu-Ray dell’edizione HD DVD di un paio d’anni fa, con poche modifiche ma un prezzo pari alla metà. La buona notizia è che stavolta saranno presenti gli episodi sia nella versione “ripulita” (con nuovi effetti digitali), sia in quella classica. Stessa cosa per la traccia audio, presente sia in Inglese 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio, sia in mono inglese, francese e spagnolo. Il box sarà composto da sette dischi, ricchi di extra, tra cui Starfleet Access, ovvero l’opzione di leggere in pop-up una serie di curiosità sugli episodi. Inoltre: commenti video, un tour interattivo dell’Enterprise e le rarissime riprese sul set di Billy Blackburn.
